5.Interpret  HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE THE MOOD OF THE PEOPLE ON THE BUS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY TO CAMP HARMONY? AT THE END OF THE JOURNEY?

First, the Japanese Americans feel angry, terrifying and exciting at some point. They fear of the Americans trying to harm them and their families. They feel exciting because it's the first time they get to see the camp and they will actually live there. After the journey, they adapted themselves to change quickly and feel sad because Camp Harmony is not really their home and that's where they will have to call home

  1. Interesting point you have there, but how can you call a place home when you don't spend time living and building up memories? But I do agree that, people are afraid to face the fact that their lives end up in such a terrible condition, but they have to accept anyway.

  2. First I was talking about the same thing, but then I realize someone will probably think almost the same idea. Still you have a great point there, about the last two words '...call home'

I had something to add into it. You could add happy to the first parts, because some of the children were thinking that they will have a larger playground to play, or a bigger house, even though they had the white tag on them.

  3. You said first people terrifying and angry about the American would harm them, so how can they live together with american and feel exciting? Just wonder!
